The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires that most truck/van/bus drivers have a physical exam every two years in order to renew their license. School bus drivers for Montgomery County, Maryland, however, must have their license renewed yearly.

During the physical exam we will check your height, weight, blood pressure, vision, and hearing, and a physical examination will be done by one of our doctors. If you wear glasses, be sure to bring them with you to your exam. We will also ask you to give us a urine specimen.

If you are on medication for a chronic disease such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease, you will need to bring with you a note from your regular family doctor stating that your condition is stable, that you are being evaluated on a regular basis, and that you are considered medically capable of driving a truck/bus/van.

Some employers will request that you have a urine drug screen at the time of your physical exam.

We will return your paperwork and license to you at the time of your visit, or mail it to your employer, whichever is applicable.
