Immigration FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
How much does the immigration medical exam cost?
The cost of the immigration medical exam is $135. This includes the test for syphilis, skin test for tuberculosis, and a thorough physical exam. If you need immunizations or a chest x-ray, there will be additional charges. Please see the fee schedule below for prices. The cost is the same for children and adults.
How long will it take before the results and documents are ready?
Forms are typically ready in 2-3 days. Laboratory test results usually return within 24 hours (Monday through Friday). Tuberculosis tests are read between 48 and 72 hours. If the tuberculosis test is positive, a chest x-ray is required, which may add another day.
Can I get my chest x-ray and blood work done somewhere else and bring you the results?
To insure integrity of the results, all blood work must be done in our laboratory; we do not allow results from outside facilities. The USCIS requires that your chest x-ray either be done at our facility or at your local health department, and it must have been performed within a year of your appointment with the USCIS.
If I need to get a chest x-ray or additional immunizations, how much will it cost?
