Class 2 and Class 3 aviation medical exams are performed on Saturdays in our Gaithersburg clinic by Dr. Martin Liss. Dr. Liss is authorized to issue combined medical/student pilot certificates. No appointment is needed, but we recommend that you call ahead to confirm Dr. Liss’s availability.

Please note: The combined medical/student pilot certificate is not valid for flight operations until properly endorsed by the student's instructor.

Fees
Class 2 exam – $120
Class 3 exam – $100

Aviation medical examinations are not covered by insurance plans. We accept credit cards, personal checks, and cash. Although our office can provide all of the required FAA forms, pilots are encouraged to visit the FAA MedXPress website and electronically complete FAA form 8500-8 prior to their visit.
