For the third consecutive year, Secure Medical Care was a proud participant in the Beltsville Community Health Fair, held on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Beltsville Community Center.

Secure Medical Care staff members provided flu shots to health fair attendees, and also dispensed general medical advice for getting through the flu season. Secure Medical Care staff members on hand at the fair included  Dr. Louise Moody, co-owner; Nichole Reilly, Beltsville Clinical Director; Mayra Robertson, Beltsville Front Desk Supervisor; and Joe Bartos, Gaithersburg Clinical Director. “We are always happy to be a part of this event. We take pride in our community involvement and in bringing quality health care to community members,” Dr. Moody said.

The Health Fair is sponsored by the Beltsville Recreation Council and the University of Maryland’s School of Public Health, Department of Public and Community Health. Exhibits on various health topics were prepared by members of the “Introduction to Community Health” class taught by UMD’s Dr. Sharon M. Desmond. Dr. Desmond’s students planned and implemented all aspects of the Health Fair including the health-oriented exhibits.
