Secure Medical Care announces the recent addition of on-site pharmacy and prescription services to its range of client services. The addition aligns with Secure Medical Care’s mission of being available when patients need quality, convenient urgent care.

Now, Secure Medical Care patients who receive a prescription as part of the diagnosis and treatment of a minor illness or injury can have their medication dispensed at the clinic before they leave. This allows patients to begin a course of medicine almost immediately—without having to make another stop or schedule around other pharmacy’s hours.

According to Drs. Louise Moody and Martin T. Liss, co-owners of Secure Medical Care, “Patient response to this service has been overwhelming. People appreciate being able to make one stop to get the total urgent care they need. And we’re excited to see this service expand with patient demand in the very near future.”

The service makes most common antibiotics, pain medications, antihistamines, steroids and topical medications available at a low cost. In fact, most medications are priced under $10.00—below many standard insurance co-pays for prescriptions. The pharmacy services are available to patients at Secure Medical Care’s Beltsville and Gaithersburg walk-in clinics, which are open Monday – Friday from 8 am to 8 pm, and Weekends and Holidays from 10 am to 6 pm.
