Filed in General Announcements Urgent medical care provider Secure Medical Care joined neighbors Montgomery Village Foundation to promote good health at MVF’s first annual Health and Lifestyles Expo, held on Saturday, October 23 at Lake Marion Community Center in Montgomery Village. The event was created by MVF to give Montgomery Village residents of all ages exposure to services provided by local physicians and providers of health care, wellness, and healthy lifestyles. Attendees had the opportunity to view demonstrations, receive a variety of services from local health care providers, and have fun while learning about ways to live longer, healthier lives.
Secure Medical Care’s Gaithersburg clinic staff members Gary DeVor, Occupational Health Coordinator, and Alyssa Herbert, Medical Assistant, were on hand providing flu shots and conducting glucose testing. They also dispensed general medical advice for getting through the flu season and discussed Secure Medical Care’s walk-in urgent care facilities, their host of services – including on-site lab, x-ray, and pharmacy – and their convenient hours and locations.
“We take pride in our community involvement and in bringing quality health care to community members, so we’re always happy to support a local event like this. We enjoy having an opportunity to meet Montgomery Village neighbors and let them know we’re close by - and open every day - whenever they need urgent care,” Gary DeVor said.
